Italy: situation report for Mar 2, bad weather holding up attacks on Cassino, long-range artillery in continuous engagement with Anzio and Nettuno; company of SS Police attacked in Rome, 260 Italians to be shot in reprisal; assessment of Allied shipping in Mediterranean; Allied commando raid on Pianosa beaten off.

Hungary: occupation by German troops according to plan, main body Battle Group Hildebrand reached Szegedin, Battle Group Brauner reached Crbas, Streckenbach reached Batascek-Mohacs; locations and strengths of Hungarian forces being established, attitude of population continuing non-committal to friendly, attitude of military deteriorating in some quarters, possibility of formation of guerrilla bands near Veszprem, Mar 25.

Adriatic: shipping and air raid reports for Mar 24 and 25.
