Italian Front: 14th Corps report repulse of Allied attacks on Cassino with heavy losses on both sides, Mar 21; 1st Parachute Division report artillery operations hampered by lively Allied fighter-bomber activity, Mar 20; German Naval Harbour master, Stefano, reported simultaneous air raids on Ercole and Stefano putting Ercole out of action for six days, Mar 20.

Naval Headlines: mine-laying U-boats in Trinidad area, Admiral Adriatic reported island of Sulet occupied by Allies; new E-boat flotilla based on Athens to have special torpedoes; Japanese troops on Wotje (Marshalls) on reduced rations suffering from malnutrition; Japanese Commanding Officer of 9th (Sabang) Base Force to sail in minesweeper Hatsutaka on tour of inspection west coast Sumatra.

Berlin instructions to all stations to be prepared for propaganda action on Finland, Mar 18.
