Mediterranean/Southern Europe: Germans arrive at Samos Nov 22, most British forces having been withdrawn to Leros on Nov 14 and remainder having escaped to Turkey; Germans consider Allied interest in Aegean now subsiding; Allied air raid on Civita Vecchia on Nov 21 results in severe damage; Germans preparing for demolition of harbours at Cephalonia and Corfu; Allies attacking on broad front in sector of 65th Infantry Division, 22 Nov.

Russian Front: German flak division in Crimea short of ammunition; Russian penetration south-west of Kremenchug, Nov 22; GAF reconnaissance results Nov 22 for areas of 6th, 8th and 17th Armies and 1st Panzer Army.
