Southern Europe: evacuation was to take place in Straits of Messina, Aug 10; shortage of railway tank-trucks in Italy, Aug 8; Italian destroyed sunk off Spezia, Aug 10.
Due to transport difficulties, all army leave to Hamburg is still prohibited, Aug 10.
