Southern Europe: Sicily situation report for July 29 from 14th Panzer Corps withdrawing to straighten line, Allies fighting in Agira; situation report from 2nd Air Fleet, Punto Stilo shelled by Allied Naval force, Allied air raids on Naples and supply traffic in Gulf of Messina; rail transport from Germany to Italy prohibited, July 29; motorised troops and supplies to move into Italy from Innsbruck area by road to avoid congestion, refuelling depot to be established Innsbruck, first supply trains arrived Northern Italy Supply Base; PoW camp at Foggia to be evacuated to accommodate 700 workers in Todt organisation, July 28; supply ship Chateau Yquem torpedoed off North Italian coast, escort claim destruction of Allied submarine, July 27; troop ships Donizetti, and Elsi, escorted by Calatafimi, Crispi and Drache to leave Piraeus for Rhodes, July 30; Kesselring's appreciation of situation in Sicily, July 22; instructions to 14th Panzer Corps, within framework of Italian 6th Army, to hold North eastern Sicily and Straits of Messina Fortress area, July 22; GAF Signals Training Regiment required to furnish report of airmen trained as railway workers, July 27.
