Description

Germany: report of Allied air raids over Germany July 25-26, damage to Blohm and Voss in Hamburg, Fokker works in Amsterdam, Krupp in Essen, noted use of metal leaves to confuse Radio Direction Finding.

Southern Europe: German Sea Transport Authorities, Leghorn, ordered to suspend loading of all large ships, July 26.

Naval Headlines: beach between Taormina and Fiumefreddo mined by Germans; Italians to lay mines with temporary moorings at Taranto along coast of Calabria; convoy carrying 1,000 troops for Rhodes expected to leave Piraeus on July 27.
