Southern Europe: situation report from German naval authorities, Genoa, no disturbances, July 27; transport unit without aircraft following air raid on Aquino, July 23; 15th Panzer Grenadier Division reports increasing number of tank breakdowns due to lack of spares, July 27; Fortress Battalion to be ferried to Sicily July 26; locations on east coast of Sardinia identified as targets for Allied landings July 27; two GAF ground attack units to return to Germany from Southern Italy, July 26; Sicilian coast between Ognina and Fiumefreddo shelled by Allied Motor torpedo boats, July 26; German Naval instruction to U-boats under attack from the air, July 26; Italian minelayer Durazzo aground in Pinarello Bay following submarine attack, July 27.

South-east Europe: special railway movement STACHELBEERE ordered to run at six trains daily, July 27; day report for July 27, 2nd phase of operation in area south east Valona begun July 21, GAF attacked guerrilla bands west-north-west of Sarajevo; Admiral Commanding Aegean's instructions in event of hostilities on the part of Italians.
