Description

Southern Europe: three landing craft destroyed, another damaged, by air attack off north Sicilian coast, July 24; Italian naval appreciation on July 24 that sufficient Allied landing craft in Malta and Bizerta to transport three landing divisions, and sufficient in Tripolitania and Tunisia for four more divisions.
