North Africa: counter-attack by 15th Panzer Division in Mareth Front described by GAF Tunis as very successful, heavy tank losses suffered by Allies, attack by 10th Panzer Division against Gafsa halted south-east of Guettar; 21st Panzer Division to counter-attack only after enemy had attacked, main defence line on Mareth Front unchanged, Mar 23; launching of attack by German Africa Corps considered urgent, Mar 22; report by GAF Tunis, Mar 23; 21st Panzer Division intended to withdraw, Mar 22; German reconnaissance unit to augment Italians in Tamezred area; further GAF sightings, Mar 23; dive-bomber unit to be again prepared to move at dawn, Mar 23; GAF authorities in Tunis issue warning of danger of Allied parachute operations, Mar 23; GAF Tunis sightings of motor transport and tanks in southern Tunisia, Mar 23; tank situation of 1st Army, Mar 21; 10th Panzer Army reports tank situation, Mar 18.
