North Africa: GAF ground fighting unit moved into an area east of Maknassy, Mar 22; Italians in state of panic, Mar 22; German COS, 1st Army, reports engagements in Mareth area and that Italian strong point captured by British; 2nd Air Corps reports that defence line on Mareth Front finally restored by early Mar 23; four companies of Panzer Grenadier Regiment Africa in Mareth area without motor transport, Mar 22; GAF report situation at Mezzouna eased and 10th Panzer Division in action near Guettar; GAF report than 40 British tanks and 190 prisoners taken in area of 15th Panzer Division.
Mediterranean: Allied submarine sinks Axis tanker.
Russian Front: experimental unit of Messerschmidt 110 aircraft to be used near Kharkov for attacking tanks.
