Naval Headlines: three U-boats deployed to new attack areas north of Iceland; Italian Admiral Biancheri appointed senior naval officer (SNO) of convoy operation in waters west of Malta employing special experimental methods; Italians noting Allied naval force in Cyprus area considering possibility of attack on Aegean Islands.
Kesselring informed of arrival in Gibraltar of Allied aircraft carrier and that all steps had been taken: queried by PM with response from ISL.
