BONIFACE reports: Russian Front: report from the Kaluga area states that 43rd Army Corps under armour supported attack has withdrawn from Vorozinsk and evacuated Kaluga bridgehead, 12th and 57th Army Corps ceded ground to Soviet forces, Dec 29.
BONIFACE reports: Russian Front: Soviet pressure continuing against 7th and 9th Army Corps and 46th Panzer Corps, 5th Army Corps engaged with strong Soviet forces, harassing artillery and mortar fire along whole of 3rd Panzer Group front, Dec 28, 41st Army Corps under constant attack, numbers considerably reduced, nearing exhaustion not having been relieved since Dec 16, call for return of 6th Panzer Division; Soviet paratroops in action south west of Moscow, Dec 29; 48th Panzer.
BONIFACE reports: Corps under strong Soviet attack, increased pressure expected on Kursk, Dec 28.
BONIFACE reports: Bulgarian troops sent for operations in Yugoslavia, Dec 29.
