Dniepropetrovsk bridge and town under artillery fire from Germans.

Soviet attacks on Dniepropetrovsk bridgehead.

Goering anxious for fighter protection (at bridgehead).

German 11th Army making progress at Berislav.

Plans for 11th Army attack on Isthmus of Perekop, between Crimea and mainland.

Germans believe Soviet 24th Army to be planning attacks south east of Smolensk.

Group 'Schmidt' to continue its attacks in direction of Schluesselburg, east of Leningrad.

Special efforts being made to get aviation fuel from Tripoli to aerodromes in Cyrenaica.

Quantities of fuel dispatched for GAF from Tripoli to Cyrenaica.

Report on British air activity on Libyan Front: from photo recce of Aug 26; report of collision of two British cruisers Frobisher and Shropshire off Mersa Matruh.
