Indenture of a grant by Sir William Hanmer of Fenns, Flintshire, knight, and William Hanmer, gentleman, his son and heir apparent, on the one part, to Elizabeth Atkins, daughter of Richard Atkins of Tuffley, Gloucestershire, esquire, on the other part, in consideration of the marriage between William Hanmer and Elizabeth Atkins, in order to augment the promised jointure to be worth £300 a year to Elizabeth Atkins from Sir William Hanmer and William Hanmer, of an annuity of £45 10s out of the capital, messuage and tenement with appurtenances in Bronington, Flintshire, called the 'Halle of Fennes' [Fenns Old Hall], and the lands, meadows, pastures, woods and hereditaments with appurtenances in Bronington and Iscoyd, Flintshire, for the term of her life.
[Endorsed] Witnesses: R. Tenkenor, Richard Heighby, Richard Atkins, William Gruffyth, Humphrey Hanmer, John Davies, W. William, Edward Undell?, Thomas Byrde, Guy Hill and Peter Robertes.
[Endorsed]: memorandum that the deed was shown in evidence at Whitchurch, Shropshire 17 April 1623 by Richard Wytton, William Leverson, Richard Mansfield and Roger Wilbraham.
