Indenture by which Michael Renyger, clerk, doctor of divinity, a prebendary of Winchester Cathedral, Hampshire, leased to Robert Nelson of South Ferreby, Lincolnshire, gentleman, a messuage or farm house called South Grange with all houses, barns, dove houses, stables, edifices, gardens, orchards, closes of pasture and appurtenances in South Ferreby, Lincolnshire, and arable land with appurtenances in South Ferreby, Lincolnshire, and one close of pasture called 'Parsens Close' in South Ferreby, Lincolnshire, from May Day until 29 September, for £19 13s 4d, and then from 29 September for the term of 21 years, for annual rent of £39 6s 8d, and for a fine of £20. Dorse: witnesses: Ralph Hulton, Martin Yalden and Richard Dowsone. Note of a bargain and sale dated 22 August 1611 by Michael Renyger to Thomas Thurland of Barton upon Humber, gentleman, of his right titles, and that the indenture of lease with Robert Nelson remains. Witnesses: P Beringham, Henry Cooningham and Thomas Dackle.
