Lease by George Bignold of Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, tailor, to James Roger of Cobham, Surrey, husbandman, of one close of meadow with appurtenances in Cobham, Surrey, called 'Leache meade', measuring 9 acres, being part of one toft and two yards of land in Cobham, Surrey, and a cottage with half a yard called 'Ropers land' granted to John Bignold, deceased, by the late abbot of the dissolved monastery of Chertsey, Surrey, by indenture dated 2 May 1509, for £10, for the term of 12 years, for annual rent of £7. Witnesses: Edward Fayrebanck, Thomas Haward, Thomas Sutton and Robert Palmer.
