Draft letters patent in the name of Elizabeth I granting to Philip Henslowe, gentleman, the office of keeper of the queen's bandogs, mastiffs, and mastiff bitches; for the term of his life, to occupy himself or by sufficient deputy; at wages of 10d. daily for himself or 4d. daily for a deputy. Refers to Ralph Bowis, esquire, as late holder of the office. [Edward Allen, theatre entrepreneur, attempted unsuccessfully to obtain this office in 1598 on the death of Ralph Bowes.]
