Description

Indented award by William Quylter, gentleman, Luke Sprackling, gentleman, Richard Constant, gentleman, and James Chapman, yeoman, arbitrators between Richard Cole, gentleman, and Thomas Gouerley of the city of Canterbury, Kent, gentleman: (i) Thomas, to grant by indented deed, before Pentecost next, to Richard, (a) his interest in the inn called the Three Kings and other buildings which he has by lease from John Fuller, late alderman of Canterbury (b) the indented lease (c) the indented lease between Thomas and John Alsop, innkeeper, of Canterbury, the rent, reservations and goods specified therein and in the annexed schedule, and any bonds made between them; (ii) Thomas and Richard to release all actions against one another; (iii) Richard to pay Thomas £50 and to make bonds for this payment. Refers to a bond or bonds for £200 dated 17 April 1583 by which Richard and Thomas were obliged to carry out the judgement if it were made before 21 April.
