Map of the lands called 'Bolton Woodde' and 'the Loynes of Bolton Fell' [Cumberland] disputed between Thomas Stanlaie, esquire, on behalf of Richard Irton, the Queen's ward, plaintiff; and John Senhouse, esquire, defendant; corrected and made perfect by Alan Bellingham, Henry Curwen, Leonard Dykes, and George Lamplewgh, esquires, by virtue of the Queen's commission annexed hereto [missing]; by their own view, and the advice of the parties, and by the 'treading and bounding' made by 24 persons (names and ages given) chosen by the parties. Map shows (to the south) Irton, Santon, (to the east) Nether Wasdale, (to the north-west) Gosforth; drawings of tenements with named tenants; depiction of the route taken by the perambulation.
