(i) Indenture of bargain and sale by Robert Peyton, esquire, to Thomas Almott of Newton in Suffolk, gentleman, and his heirs and assigns, of the manor called 'Sayham Hall', with appurtenances, in Newton, 'Moche Cornerd', and 'Little Cornerd', Suffolk, lately demised to Thomas by Robert and Elizabeth his wife. Estate to be conveyed and deeds to be delivered by 2 February next. Thomas covenants to pay £266 13s. 4d., half now and half on 1 May next. Covenants refer to Sir Robert Peyton, knight, Robert's father.
Signed by Robert Peyton. Seal. (ii) [sown on bottom left corner] receipt, dated 2 May 1553, by Robert Peyton for £133 6s. 8d. from Thomas Almott in full payment of the above £266 13s. 4d.
