Description

(i) Indented demise by John Dodmor of London, gentleman, to Nicholas Chowne, citizen and haberdasher of London, for 20 marks paid, of his beer brewhouse and cellar in Grauntham Lane (location specified with names of tenants) in the parish of All Hallows the Great [Dowgate ward], London, late of Sir Ralph Dodmore, knight, with the implements specified in the two [sic] attached schedules. Reserving to John and his tenants of the ale brewhouse liberty to draw water from the Thames. For the term of 21 years from Michaelmas last; paying £20 yearly and a hogshead of double march beer.
