Indenture by which Sir William Ryder, knight, citizen and alderman of London, leases to the governors, assistants and society of the city of London of and for the mineral and battery works, the new mill and mill-house with appurtenances [location specified], newly built by William Ryder for a battery mill in the parish of Maidstone, Kent, near William Ryder's mansion house called 'Moate', for the term of 21 years, at an annual rent of £32 14s 4d in two instalments. Examined by Richard Collins. Common seal of the governors, assistants and society of London.
