Indenture of bargain and sale by Thomas Bostocke of London, gentleman, to Richard Williams of Blackfriars, London, of the manor of Northbourne, Kent, which had been granted by letters patent to Laurence Wagstaffe, John Wheeler and John Street, the queen's servants, on 14 July 1576 and to Elizabeth Smytheson alias Taylor, widow, on 10 June 1591, both of which came into the possession of Francis Pendreth, administrator of Miles Pendreth, his father, for £100, and annual rent of 10s, 16s, 22s 8d, 10s and 10s to be paid to Elizabeth I and her heirs, as outlined in the earlier grants by letters patent. Witnesses: James Knell, Henry Peers and Richard Marshe. Seal of Thomas Bostocke.
