Description

Grant by Roger son of Thomas son of Sander of Scarning (Skering) and Sarah his wife, widow, to Matilda and Alice daughters of Gilbert son of Geoffrey de Scarning of 30s. paid in 'gersum', 1 acre of land with a messuage and all appurtenances in Scarning [location specified] for homage, a fine and an annual rent of 2d. on condition they should not lease it to a religious house.

Witnesses: Sir Gaer' (?) de Frivill, Henry his brother, Thomas de Herford, Adam de Gressenhall, Alexander Odelin, Peter de Hindringham, Richard his brother, Simon son of Walter, Peter son of Emin, Robert Miller, Peter son of Othert, Walter Jordan, William Clerk of Dereham.
