Indenture between Charles I on the one part and Ralph Shawe of Newsham (Newsome), Yorkshire, yeoman, on the other part, for the custody, wardship and marriage of Robert Shawe, the king's ward, son and heir of John Shawe, deceased, for £35, paid in stages. Attached: survey of lands (specified) in Newsham (Newsome), Yorkshire, belonging to John Shawe, died 28 July 1636, inherited by Robert Shawe, aged 19 years 3 months and three weeks at the date of his father's death.
