Indented grant by John Pulteney of Misterton, Leicestershire, esquire, and Margaret his wife, to John Denton of Lincoln's Inn, Middlesex, esquire, and William Denton of London, doctor, of the manor of Misterton, Leicestershire, all his lands and tenements in Walcote, Lutterworth and Poultney, the advowson of the church of Misterton, Leicestershire, and the manor of Shenleybury with all appurtenances in Shenley, Colney and Ridge, Hertfordshire, to hold to his own use during his life, and then to the use of Margaret, his wife, and other nominated relatives.
Signatures of John and Margaret Pulteney. [on dorse] Sealed and delivered in the presence of John Crowther, Thomas Nurse and Edward Butterfield. Note of enrolment on the close roll, 13 July 1642. Notes from the Court of Wards and Liveries, stating that this deed was shown to the defendants, Alexander Denton, Edward Butterfield and Margaret Pulteney, in a suit brought by Alice Brownlowe and Mary Pulteney, 15 November 1638, 20 November 1638, and 5 March 1639.
