Indented lease by Gabriel Pultney of Knowle, Warwickshire, esquire, to Edward Pell of Rolleston (Roulston) in the parish of Billesdon, Leicestershire, yeoman, of a croft called Cotes de Val (Cotes Feilde, Cotes Devile) in the parish of Kimcote, Leicestershire, to hold for 21 years from 28 May 1594, for a sum of £550 and an annual rent of 40 marks. On 20 May 1561, Michael Pultney, esquire, late brother of Gabriel, had leased the property to Richard Pratt of Lutterworth, Leicestershire, mercer, now deceased, for 30 years from 28 May 1564, which lease Pell has since acquired.
