Indenture by Sir Richard Knightley, Sir Richard Fenys of Broughton, Oxfordshire, Valentine Knightley, son and heir of Sir Richard Knightley, Jerome Fermor of Wood Burcote (Burcot), Northamptonshire, and Nicholas Fermor of Easton Neston (Easton), Northamptonshire, acknowledging the receipt of £250 paid by Gabriel Pultney: according to an indenture dated 20 February 1589, between Sir Henry Darcye and Dame Katherine his wife on the first part, Gabriel Pultney of Misterton, Leicestershire, on the second part, John Cope of Everdon, Northamptonshire, Thomas Thornton of Lincoln's Inn, Middlesex, on the third part, and Sir Richard Knightley, Sir Richard Fenys, Valentine Knightley, Jerome Fermor and Nicholas Fermor on the fourth part, stating the grant by the said Sir Henry and Dame Katherine and Gabriel to the said Sir Richard Knightley, Sir Richard Fenys, Valentine Knightley, Jerome Fermor and Nicholas Fermor, of a yearly rent of £500 issuing from lands of Misterton and Poultney (Pultney), [Leicestershire], during Dame Katherine's natural life.
