Description

Inspeximus of proceedings in the court of the Exchequer relating to the farm of a house in the manor of Shenley, Hertfordshire, granted at farm by Michael Poultney, son and heir of Francis Poultney, esquire, to Thomas Heywarde, deceased. The text (in English) of the interrogatory is recited, together with the extensive answers given by Alexander Tewer of Shenley, Richard Birchemore of St Stephen's parish [in St Albans], Katherine Chappell of Colney in the parish of St Peter, St Albans, James Wood of Park Street, Thomas Carter of Park Street, Richard Snow of Totteridge, John Snow of Totteridge, Robert Search of Barnet, Eleanor Abott of St Albans, John Stannote of Ridge, John Clerke of Shenley and Thomas Chappell of Colney, [Hertfordshire]. Great seal.
