Description

Later copy of an indenture, dated 10 November 1538, stating the lease by Elizabeth Salvage, abbess of the monastery of the Minoresses without Aldgate, London, and the convent, on the first part and John Edwards, citizen and haberdasher of London, on the second part, stating the lease to John Edwards of a messuage or tenement with shops, warehouses and appurtenances in the parish of St Mary le Bow, London, in which William Gresham, citizen and mercer of London, now dwells, for the term of 99 years, at the yearly rent of £5.
