Judicial writ of Edward II to the sheriff of Gloucestershire concerning the complaint by the abbess of Lacock that Henry of Lancaster and Matilda, his wife, and Richard the bailiff (le Baillif) of Kempsford (Kynemershford) unjustly disseised them of their free tenement in Kempsford after the last crossing of King Henry III, the king's grandfather, into Gascony, and ordering him to reseise the property upon security being given to prosecute and maintain it in that estate until informed otherwise by Henry Spigurnel, William Mortimer and Richard de Rodeneye, the king's justices.
