Letters patent of Master John of Bridport (Brideport), by which he quitclaims, for himself, his proctors and executors, to the abbess and convent of Lacock his annual pension of 40s., in which they are bound to him by their charter, and revokes by these letters. This is done at the instance and petition of Master Peter of Exeter (Exonia), Master John de Drayton (Draytun'), Sir John, chaplain and rector of Schokebrec, Adam de Ylleg', Philip the clerk, Master Walter of Lechlade (Lecchelade) and others. However, because in their charter the abbess and convent are also bound to perform services for Master John's soul and that of a fellow nun, that part of the charter is to remain in force.
Dated at Exeter. Vesical seal in green wax appended on tongue.
