Description

Letters patent of William, son of Thomas de la Chambre of Notton, by which he grants in fee to Master Thomas of Bardney two messuages and one and a half virgates of land with appurtenances in Notton and Lacock (details given) which he recovered before the justices at the Bench at Westminster against the abbess of Lacock by judgement of the court, to be held for a rent of a penny annually at Christmas and other services, namely 5s. 6d. and 1lb of cumin annually at four terms. For this grant Master Thomas has paid twenty marks in gersum cash down.
