Description

Letters patent of Ela, abbess of Lacock and the convent, by which they grant to Jordan la Waite a burgage in their manor of Lacock (Lacoc) (details given), excepting the law of religion and Jews, to have for an annual rent of 12d.

Witnesses: Master Adam, parson of Gaddesden (Gatesdene); Master Ralph de Wik [Wick]; Sir Roger, parson of Lacock; Sir Robert, vicar of Lacock; Sir Ralph, chaplain of Risendon; Robert de Holta [Holt]; Sir Walter of Notton; Robert the carpenter; Richard White (Albo) of Notton; and many others.
