Indented letters patent of Robert Salman' and Thomas Moresley by which they attest that lately Nicholas Crok (Croke) granted in fee by his charter to Thomas Calston' and Robert Hacce, now deceased, and to both Salman' and Moresley, all lands and tenements that he had in Lacock, Wick (Lakokeswyke) and Crokkernassh with appurtenances, as well as all lands and tenements in the parish of Box (Boxe), and that Crok's will was that the feoffees, or those who survive, would give those lands to Nicholas to have and hold for life, and that after his death they would remain to Robert, son of Nicholas, and to Agnes, his wife, and their heirs. In default of heirs, the lands would revert to Alice, Robert's sister, and then to Nicholas's right heirs. Witnesses: William Darell; Robert Baynard; Roger Truebody; Robert Confelde; Thomas Hancok; John Draper of Lacock; William Porter; and others. Given at Lacock. The armorial seal of Robert Salman' affixed by tag. Seal of Thomas Moresley missing.
