Grant by William de Lanvaley, son of William de Lanvaley, lord of the manor of Stanway, [Essex], to the hospital of the Holy Cross in the suburbs of Colchester, [Essex], of five acres of land in Colchester next to the hospital, 4s of annual rent paid by William Gaywode for a tenement next to the hospital, and everything there pertaining to his manor of Stanway, retaining the mill of Stanway with appurtenances and the water course feeding the fish pond, and saving the 10s annual rent paid by Geoffrey le Palmer and the 12d due to the church of All Saints in Stanway for tithes. He also grants to the hospital the annual pannage for 12 pigs in his woods, and pasture for two cows, 60 sheep and lambs, and one ram, as well as firewood for their hall and kitchen from his woods of 'Srebbe' and 'Wildeneye'.
