Letters of exemplification concerning the final concord (dated 31 May 1591) between William Fenwicke, Edward Shaftoe, Thomas Mydleton and Marmaduke Fenwicke plaintiffs (querrants)and Alexander Hearon, defendant (deforciant) concerning the manor of Meldon with appurtenances and 10 meassuages, 200 acres of land, 60 acres of meadows, 200 acres of pastures, 20 acres of woodland, 300 acres of moor and 40 shillings of revenues, in Meldon, Refhoe alias Reffhowe, Kiplington, Denham, Whalton, Thornton Temple, Heron close, Morpeth and Reddynge. Alexander Hearon acknowledges that the lands belong to William Fenwicke, Edward Shaftoe, Thomas Mydleton and Marmaduke Fenwicke and for the acknowledgment and quitclaim they give him 200 silver marks.
Dated at Westminster. Justices: Edward Anderson, Francis Wyndeam, William Peryam and Thomas Walmyssey. Missing seal.
