Indenture between Robert Heron, gentleman, of Meldon, Northumberland, Sir George Selbie of Newcastle upon Tyne and William Selbie, gentlamn, of Shortflatt, Northumberland, stating the sale by Robert Hearnon for 300 pounds to them of the village or hamlet or Meldon, with capital messuage, lands, fields, tenements, meadows, pastures, moors, feedings, arable lands, waste grounds, with appurtenances. Condition of the sale is that if Robert Hearon pays to George and William Selbie the sum of 390 pounds within the 24th of June 1608 the sale shall be void.
Witnesses: George Nicholsonn, Andrew Boone, James Scoles, Richard Rawe and William Jackson, public notary.
Endorsed: 'Mortgage of Meldon'.
