Indenture between Thomas Frithe of Upminster, Essex and James Holden of Rainham, Essex, stating that Thomas Frithe shall give to John Lyon and William Mellett 120 pounds as first payment for 832 pounds 15 shillings and 2 pence to be paid annually on 18th July, so he will be able to hold and possess the messuage called Munckham in Woodford, Essex, with appurtenances, fields of arable land, meadow, pasture, buildings and edifices, in the tenure of Joanne Newman, widow (by indenture dated the 20th of January 1611) and that Thomas Frithe bought for 2, 120 pounds from James Holden by indenture dated the 23rd of October 1613. According to the provisos of 2 indentures: lease by James Holden to John Lyon and William Mellett for 99 years of the said tenement for 600 pounds, dated 21st July 1612 and indenture dated the 14th of December 1612 between Thomas Frithe, John Lyon and William Mellett for the payment to them of 933 pounds, 6 shillings and 8 pence.
Witnesses: William Frithe senior and Richard Glover, servant to Thomas Frith.
