Description

Indented receipt by John Wentworth of Gosfield, Essex, esquire, administrator of the goods, chattels, debts and credits of the late Sir Henry Unton, for £200 paid to him by John Fisher, of Fernham, Berkshire, executor of the last will of the late Arthur Lewes, according to the provisos of an indenture between Henry Unton and Arthur Lewes, dated 18 December 1593, stating the sale of a portion of tithe of corn grain and hay in the hamlet of Longcot, Shrivenham, Berkshire, belonging to the late monastery of Cirencester, Gloucestershire, and the rectory of Longcot.

Witnesses: Thomas Cowe, John Lee and Thomas Spicer.
