Indenture between Sir Stephen Boord, sheriff of Surrey, and Thomas Jay of the parish of St. Martin in the Fields, stating the sale for £140 by the sheriff to Thomas Jay of the rights and titles of a lease made in date 4 June 1625, by Sir Edmond Bowyer to Sir Francis Gofton of Stockwell, Lambeth, Surrey, William Byne, of Camberwell, Surrey, gentleman, and to Martin Clarke, of Camberwell, gentleman, of messuages with lands, meadows, pastures, in Camberwell and Peckham, for 13 years paying yearly £10 pounds (according to a writ issued by the Court of King's Bench in the suit between Martin Clarke and Joyce Bowyer, plaintiff, for a debt of £700 and £8 5s. of the cost of the suit).
