Description

Indenture between Thomas Styrropp of the close of Lincoln, gentleman, on one part and Edward Blawe, alderman of the city of Lincoln, Richard Blawe, of Potterhanworth, Lincolnshire, clerks, George Walker of the Close of Lincoln, gentleman, George Riggs of Edenstowe, Nottinghamshire, clerk, and Richard Johnson of Perlethorpe, Nottinghamshire, yeoman, stating the grant of the manor and rectory of Edestow that Thomas Styrruppe had from the dean and chapter of the cathedral of Lincoln for the term of his, his sons and Elizabeth Styrroppe's lives, according to an indenture dated 23 December 1625.

Witnesses: Laurence Styrroppe, Thomas Hanye, Richard Wadeson, Jeremy Readid and Robert Ermelly (for Edward Blawe); Laurence Styrroppe, John Cooker, Anthony Diwall, John Downing, Richard Blythe, Henry Wilson, Thomas Riches and John Patefin (for George Riggs); Andrew Pownt, Laurence Styrroppe and Thomas Hanys (for Richard Blawe); Laurence Styrroppe, Edmond Metherning, George Rigges, John Downing and Michael Hodgkin (for Richard Johnson).
