Description

Grant by William, son of William Malbul to Richard, son of Geoffrey de Newton, of all his land in Middlewich, [Cheshire], and 18d of annual rent from the lands of Thomas Malbul, his brother, and 2d of annual rent from the lands of Richard Sissoris. For this, Newton is to pay 4s annually to the church of St Michael in Middlewich, and has paid Malbul four silver marks for his charter.

Witnesses: Richard de la Holt, Warin de Croxton, Richard his brother, Richard Dodefyn, Thomas de Lostok, Alexander Craket, Matthew de Crawnach [Cranage], Ralph Haregreve, and many others. Broken seal of William Malbul.
