Extract from the record of the county court of Chester, reciting an inquest to determine whether Agnes Benet, paternal aunt of Robert, son of Hugh de Pulford, died seised of half of a water mill in Little Stanthorne (Parva Stanthirle), [Cheshire], and whether Robert, her nephew, is her next heir. The inquest finds that Robert should recover his part of the mill against Robert, son of Richard de Croxton, former husband of Agnes. On dorse: Undated draft or copy of a lease by Robert, son of Hugh de Pulleford, to ?Aucia, daughter of William de Stopport [Stockport], for term of her life, of his part of the watermill in Little Stanthorne which he recovered by a writ of mort d'ancestor after the death of Agnes Benet, his aunt. ?Aucia is to pay an annual rent of one rose.
Witnesses: Richard de Foulesurst, then sheriff of Cheshire, John de G[...], [illegible names], Simon the clerk, and others.
