Description

Grant by William Treysus, chaplain, to Robert, his son, of all the land in Middlewich [Cheshire], that Thomas Treysus, his father, bought from Thomas, son of Henry de Croxton (boundaries given), paying 2s each year to Margery, widow of William, lord of Brereton, and a pair of white gloves or 1d at the following Christmas. For this, Robert has given his father two silver marks and a golden ring, and 5s to Margery. Witnesses: Richard de la Holt, knight, William de Venablis, Richard le Massy, then sheriff of Cheshire, Richard de Croxton, parson of Alderley, Richard, lord of Croxton, John de la Holt, William de Bostok, Stephen de Bydulf, chaplain, Nicholas Hargreve, chaplain, Alexander Craket, Matthew de Craunach [Cranage], Stephen Hargreve, Ralph, his brother, Thomas Malbol, Robert Leminur, chaplain, Henry Saxi, clerk, and many others.
