Petition to the king from Randolph le Maynwaryng [Mainwaring], esquire, noting that he and his wife Margery had previously bought the wardship of the lands of Richard de Bulkeley of Cheadle [Cheshire], deceased, together with the marriage of Bulkeley's heir, Richard, from the council of the late queen [Anne] for £230. Of this, he has paid 99 marks to Thomas More, clerk, and asks that he be discharged from this sum, and that the Exchequer of Chester be ordered to discharge him, along with Robert le Grosvenour and Richard de Aston, knights, William le Maynwaryng, John le Maynwaryng, Robert de Stanlegh, Henry de Ravenescroft, and John de Legh of Norbury Booths (Bothes) [Cheshire], from that part of the £230 in which they are bound to the king by a recognisance.
