Description

Memorandum from Thomas Maistresson, escheator of Cheshire, that he has executed the king's letters close, issued by Thomas, earl marshal and justice of Chester on 9 December 1395, and has delivered the lands and tenements formerly of Richard de Bulkyley [Bulkeley] of Cheadle (Chedyl) [Cheshire], deceased, to the keeping of Ralph Maynwaryng [Mainwaring] and Margery, his wife. The lands were in the king's possession on account of the minority of Bulkyley's heir, and were granted to Maynwaryng on 31 October for a payment of £230, at a rate of £46 per year over five years. Dated at Nantwich. Seal of Thomas Maistresson, escheator of Cheshire.
