Description

Quitclaim by Margery, widow of Henry de Pottislowe, William his son and Adam their son, to Laurence de Meynwarin [Mainwaring], of all their rights to the lands and tenements of Laurence in Warford [Cheshire] and elsewhere. In return for this, Laurence has granted them certain lands in Leighton [Cheshire], on condition that they shall be forfeit if Margery, William, Adam or their heirs make any future claim on the lands in Warford. Witnesses: John de Wetenale, John del Holt, Ranulph de Oldeton, Richard de Munsull, Richard, lord of Croxton, Richard son of Robert de Croxton, Thomas de Erdiswyc [Eardswick], and others. Three seals, one broken and fragmentary.
