Description

Grant by Adam, son of Roger le Bordhewer of Betchton, to Robert de Bulkylegh (Bulkeley), and Felicia, his wife, of the lands and tenements with appurtenances that were granted to him by William son of Hugh son of Walter of Middlewich, in Newton, in a place called "le Stampurlong" (details given). They have to pay yearly 3¼d. to the chief lords of the fee and one silver halfpenny to William son of Hugh son of Walter. Robert and Felicia have already paid to him 100s.

Dated at Middlewich.

Witnesses: Sir Richard de Sonbathe (Sandbach), Sir William de Brerton, Richard de Fouleshurst, then sheriff of Chester, Alexander de Hammile, Gilbert Dedefin, William de Ridelegh, Adam Clerk and many others.
