Description

Indenture between Walter Grove, of Honiton, Devon, and Thomas Awbrey of Chaddenwick, Wiltshire, gentlemen, surviving feoffees of William Grove, deceased, on one part and Robert Grove of Donhead St. Mary, esquire, son of William Grove, on the other part, by which Walter Grove and Thomas Awbrey grant to Robert Grove of the reversion of the lands and premises that Walter Grove and Thomas Awbrey, by indenture dated 1 July 1629, sold to William Swanton of Bruton, Somerset, comprising the manor of Sedgehill with its appurtenances, and all the lands, tenements, services, revenues, profits, commodities and hereditaments in the parishes of Sedgehill and Semley, which they had from William Grove of Shaston, and their capital messuage or farm in Donhead Andrew, and also their lands, tenements, rents, revenues, services, woods and under-woods, with appurtenances in Donhead St. Andrew, Donhead St. Mary, Ludwell, and Charlton, in Wiltshire and Melbury Abbas, Fontmell, Cann, Shaston and the liberty of Alcester, in Dorset.
